                                                                          THE LAST HOPE
One day Nasreddin Hodja lost his the dearst unique donkey,he didn’t know that anyone stoled it or it is lost by itself.
He began to look for his donkey, and he began to sing a song at the same time.
Then he saw one of his friend.
His friend:
--Hodja,where are going to?
Hodja said that he lost his donkey and looking around.
His friend:
--I can’t understand you hodja,if you lost your donkey you must yell, cry, and worried.why are you singing?
Hodja shows the hill near, and repied,
--My last hope remained the behind of this hill.If I cant find my donkey there, then listen my cry and yell!!

                                                      How much longer?
Nasreddin Hodja's fellow villagers were always asking abstract  questions.
`How long will people continue to be born and to die?' they asked one day. Nasreddin Hodja was unruffled.
He said, `when, the heaven and the hell are completely full.'

                                                           Parrot ~
One day The Hodja was walking around in the market place. He saw a bright-coloured bird for sale for 12 gold coins. Hodja    was amazed. He approached the crowd and its seller.
`How can a bird be so expensive?' he asked the people watching the bird.
`This is a special bird,' they explained, `it can talk like a human being!' This gave Hodja an idea. He went straight to his home, grabbed his turkey and brought him to the market place. He stood near the man selling the parrot.
`Turkey, for sale, ten gold coins!' he yelled.
`Hodja Effendi, how can a turkey be worth ten gold coins?' the shoppers protested.
`There is a bird there for 12 gold.’said hodja
`But Hodja Effendi, that bird can talk like a human being.'.  Hodja answered:
`And this turkey can think like a human being.’

                                                        ~ Age ~
They asked Nasreddin Hodja his age.
`Forty.' he answered.
`But Hodja, when we asked you your age ten years ago, you gave the same answer!'
`That's my word, and I wont give up.' Hodja said.

                                                                   Dates ~
One day the Hodja and his wife were eating dates. Hodja's wife noticed that the Hodja was eating the dates with their seeds.
`Hodja Effendi, why are you eating the dates with the seeds?' she asked.
`Because when the grocer sold them to me, he weighed them with the seeds.' was Hodja's answer.

                                                                  Invited ~
One of the wealthy men of Aksehir had invited Nasreddin Hodja  to his house.  Hodja arrived at the rich man's house and knocked on the door. The man's son answered the door and told the Hodja that his father was not at home. However, the Hodja had already seen the host sitting by the window. He was turned down at the door with a lie.
`Tell your father,' he said to the boy, `next time he is going out, he should not forget his head by the window!'

                                                                  Difficult Case ~
Nasreddin Hodja was named the kadi of Aksehir. One day, two men with a dispute came to him and asked him to resolve their conflict. The Hodja listened to the first man
`You are right!' he said when the plaintiff completed his account. Then, the Hodja listened to the second man.
`You are right!' he said to the second man as well. Everyone in the room was confused. One of the observers dared to protest.
`Kadi effendi,' he said, `You agreed with both of the parties. You cant solve it, if you say "you are right" to both of them.' Nasreddin Hodja considered for a moment, then he said:
`You are right too!'

                                                           Old Moons ~
One day Nasreddin Hodja and a friend were admiring the sky and watching a new moon.
`Hodja Effendi,' asked the friend, what do they do with the old moons?'
`They cut them, trim them and turn them into stars!'
